Description
Super Universal Oil is a high-quality crankcase oil, suitable for use in normally aspirated four stroke diesel and petrol engines.
This formulation has been manufactured by us since 1921 and has been used in numerous vintage tractors over that time. Predating the more modern “Super Universal” lubricants it is especially for tractors without wet brakes. Using a specially selected additive treatment it avoids harsh detergent and dispersant levels whilst giving excellent protection to both the engine and transmission. Formulated in a 20W-30 viscositya grade which is preferred by these vintage tractors this product will give adequate protection whether “ticking over” at a show, taking part in a “rally run” or, as it was designed to do, working the land.
Super Universal Oil is manufactured from high viscosity index paraffinic base oil’s compounded with additives which impart:
- A detergent dispersant property, which helps to keep deposits on pistons and rings to a minimum.
- Anti-wear characteristics to reduce scuffing and wear of piston rings, bores and valve train components.
- Antioxidant to increase the oxidation stability of the oil during use
- Anti-corrosion to give protection against rust and corrosion.
- Pour point depressant to maintain fluidity of the oil at low temperatures.
